Technician Support

£11.44 per hour 

Norfolk Partnership Laboratory’s have an exciting opportunity for a Technician Support to join their established team on a casual basis, working as and when required.

You will support the laboratory and site testing functions to ensure tests are undertaken in accordance to set standards and requirements in order to provide accurate results.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Technicians as and when required
• Carrying out basic laboratory tests
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy to meet health & safety guidance
• Assisting with sample reception, sub sampling and dispatching soil samples
• Sample disposal and storage
• Ensuring that allocated laboratory testing is carried out in line with instruction, training and completing routine tasks without direct supervision.

Our Successful Candidate:

You will have a keen interest in geology or materials testing, alongside:

• GCSE at Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science or equivalent
• Ideally you will have previous experience in maintaining accurate date and records.
• Experience managing your own workload, multi-tasking and prioritising effectively – Desirable
• Able to follow defined guidance thoroughly to ensure compliance with standards.
• Methodical and focussed approach to work
• Full UK Driving Licence to meet the travel requirements of the role
