Service Supervisor Voids – Alliance Norse
Salary £38,286.40
37 Hours per week
Alliance Norse is a joint venture with High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. We provide repairs and maintenance across the Councils’ properties, caretaking and cleaning services as well as offering an improved housing repairs service. We have an excellent opportunity for a Service Supervisor to assist our maintenance teams delivering refurbishments within the High Peaks area. This role is on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Role:
As supervisor of the trade operatives, you will ensure the assets of High Peak Borough Council are repaired/upgraded to a decent standard, you will produce reports and job specifications to enable the trade operatives to interpret this and successfully effect a repair/upgrade to a high standard on both voids and tenanted properties. Alongside this your duties will include;
- Supervise a team of trade specific, multiskilled operative, laborers and caretakers to deliver high standards of repairs/upgrade service and operational delivery.
- To assist the Contracts Manager and Head of repairs and work closely with the other supervisors to deliver an efficient and cost-effective customer focused repairs service delivering top quartile performance within the sector, providing cover in instances of sickness or annual leave.
- Assist Contracts manager with raising and planning of works on void properties, hold meetings with housing, update on anticipated completion dates, recharges, continues to improve void processes, update spread sheets, plan in work and update repairs systems throughout the process.
- Carry out some trade works from time to time, inc installing key safes, lock changes, loft inspections to ensure there are no fire breaks between properties and to check loft insulation levels and carry out any minor snagging works
- Undertake surveys/assessments of repair/upgrade job orders, mainly on void properties, prepare specifications, risk assessments, process orders, schedules of materials and if required estimates for the work to be carried out.
- To complete work as effectively as possible and to the defined Council and Norse standards, work closely with senior planner in using connect planning system, raising POs on our finance system, send emails to internal and external clients and contractors, use of spread sheets and word documents
Our successful candidate
Sound knowledge of social housing properties and their defects.
Knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
Experience inspecting and reporting back on property defects in social housing properties.
Excellent management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
Must be available to take part in on call rota
