Mobile Recycling Advisor - Dereham, Norfolk
£12.21/hour
Saturdays are paid at enhanced rate of x1.25. Sundays at x1.5.
35 hours per week
5 days on 2 days off (Tues and Weds or Weds and Thurs are rest days)
Norse Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) are the waste and refuse management function for Norse Group, providing a full collection service across the local region. As we continue to deliver our frontline waste and recycling services across East Anglia, we are looking to recruit a Recycling Advisor for our centre in Dereham.
In this role you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the day to day operations of the centre runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a public facing role where you will be engaging with members of the public whilst delivering services where you will be helping advise on disposure of waste and ensuring the site is always safe and tidy.
This role is based at Dereham HWRC, where will spend most of their time (approximately 75%) but you will occasionally be required to travel to other Recycling Centres to cover absence and holidays.
Reimbursement will be paid for mileage at 45p and travel time, your own transport is essential.
Our ideal candidate
Whilst previous experience in a similar waste collection or disposal role would be ideal, we are happy to offer full training to the right person, as long as you can demonstrate;
- Able to follow instructions and communicate at all levels
- Able to demonstrate good customer service skills
- Have knowledge of waste recycling
- Have experience dealing with the general public
