Graduate Estates Surveyor
Exeter
£24,000 - £31,500 (Dependant on Level 5 or 6 level of entry)
37 Hours per week
South West deliver a multi-disciplined approach to a range of construction, rural and estates services to a multitude of clients. As part of an award winning, national consultancy, South West Norse operate across Estates Management & Valuation, multiple surveying disciplines and project management services.
To support the continued growth of our Estates Management & Valuation portfolio, we have an excellent development opportunity for a Graduate Estates Surveyor to join our Exeter based team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of our property support for our clients, providing advice on planning, estates management and rural improvement works.
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate, as we will provide the opportunity to work in a commercially focused and professional estates team where you will have on-going support as you develop. Your role will assist several different business areas, including;
- Farm maintenance and improvements
- Disposing of surplus estate property
- Planning advice and appraisals
Our Ideal Candidate:
As a graduate opportunity, the most important thing is your desire and aptitude to develop a career within an estates management discipline. This should be combined with;
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent HNC / HND / NVQ) in an estates related discipline
- Professional membership (or be working towards / prepared to work towards) of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
- Knowledge of legislation regarding landlord & tenant and compulsory purchase & compensation
- Experience within a previous role or work placement would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team
