Norse Group is seeking an exceptional Director of Client Services and Commissioning to join our leadership team. This is a high‑impact role responsible for driving commercial excellence, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery across our multi‑disciplinary property consultancy services.
As a senior leader, you will steer financial performance, lead commissioning and procurement activity, oversee project delivery performance, and represent Norse Group as the principal contact for our key public‑sector clients. Your insight, leadership and commercial acumen will be central to our continued growth and reputation for delivering outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
In this influential role, you will:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Attend key client meetings and Programme Delivery Boards.
- Proactively identify and drive new business opportunities.
- Collaborate across the wider national Norse Group to support a coordinated, corporate approach.
Financial & Commercial Leadership
- Ensure consistent and robust monitoring of financial performance, aligned with Norse Group standards working closely with Commercial and Finance teams to analyse financial data, inform decision‑making, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the preparation of fee bids and bid pricing for new commissions.
Client Engagement & Commissioning
- Act as the principal client contact for new commissions, taking briefs and building strong client relationships and act as the first point of contact
- Lead commissioning of multi‑disciplinary consultancy services, ensuring procurement compliance, contractual adherence, performance management and commercial and provide advice on commissioning, contract management and consultant contract negotiations.
Procurement & Quality Assurance
- Lead procurement of sub‑consultants and specialists, including reviewing tender reports and preparing agreements/collateral warranties.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting high‑quality service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience working with senior public‑sector stakeholders.
- Strong commercial, financial management and business planning capability.
- Demonstrable success in developing new business and maintaining key client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teams in a commercial environment.
- Commitment to customer service and embedding continuous improvement.
- Understanding of construction, health & safety legislation, and associated risks.
