Deputy Lead Recycling Advisor - Dereham, Norfolk

£13.18 Per hour

35 hours per week

5 days a week

Tuesday and Wednesday are rest days

 

Norse Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) are the waste and refuse management function for Norse Group, providing a full collection service across the local region. As we continue to deliver our frontline waste and recycling services across East Anglia, we are looking to recruit a Recycling Advisor for our centre in Dereham.

To provide efficient, competent, front line leadership in managing the performance on one of our Household Waste Recycling Centres and to deliver the best client & customer service safely and efficiently.

 

The role 

In this role you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the day to day operations of the centre runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is a public facing role where you will be engaging with members of the public whilst delivering services where you will be helping advise on disposure of waste and ensuring the site is always safe and tidy.

 

Our ideal candidate

Whilst previous experience in a similar waste collection or disposal role would be ideal, we are happy to offer full training to the right person, as long as you can demonstrate;

  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate at all levels

  • Hold or be willing to achieve WAMITAB level 4

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills

  • Have knowledge of waste recycling

  • Have experience dealing with the general public

  • Full UK driving licence required
