Workshop Works Co-ordinator
Hethersett, Norfolk
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
£40,425.59 per annum
Norse Highways currently have an opening for a Workshop Works Co-ordinator to join our successful team based at our Workshop based in Hethersett.
This role is being offered on a Full Time, Permanent basis working 40 hours per week
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Allocate the servicing and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment to relevant Workshops to ensure that all assets are fit for purpose and meet any appropriate legislation requirements and standards e.g., O license, DVSA, NFCC, Quality Assurance etc.
- Legal documents, job cards and any other appropriate documentation is completed as required and aligned with appropriate standards and deadlines. This will ensure that vehicles and equipment can be used as intended and remain compliant and all costs are charged correctly.
- Monitor and report to ensure work is being carried out in a timely manner to minimise vehicle downtime and maximise workshop income. Observe performance KPI’s which are essential to reporting of Norfolk Fire & Rescue, Winter Services and Company operations.
- Control the vehicle defecting reporting procedure using the R2C online portal for the fleet.
- Ensuring good customer relations with colleagues, other customers, suppliers and other partner organisations. To give users of the fleet service confidence, knowledge and understanding of the safe use of plant and vehicles.
- Ensure the team complies with expected standards of behaviour, for example, respect for others and corporate values.
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone who can ensure Fleet vehicles, plant and equipment are serviced and maintained in accordance with fleet procedures to meet O licence, DVSA and National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) requirements. Drive efficiency throughout and prioritise daily / weekly workloads to the relevant workshops. Monitor taskings on vehicles that are placed into the Market ensuring best value for money is achieved. Control the Fleets vehicle defect reporting procedure using the R2C system, both on the operational and maintenance side of the platform to deliver a compliant and effective maintenance system for all vehicles. Therefore we seek someone with the following criteria:
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds, or NVQ equivalent certification in a vehicle discipline. (Essential)
- Category C Driving Licence (Desirable)
- Driver CPC (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and ability to promote best practice as an individual and for others (Essential)
- IRTEC certificate of competence in the inspection of vehicles. (Desirable)
- Operating and knowledge of the R2C Online Software and Portal or similar maintenance recording system. (Desirable)
Experience:
Proven experience of working within a commercial / Light Vehicle Workshop.
Vehicle servicing, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing with understanding of timescales
Good Understanding of the Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness and HGV Inspection Manual to ensure a declaration of Roadworthiness post repair can be made and to triage daily defect reporting ensuring vehicles remain compliant whilst in use.
