Vehicle Technician - Rochford

Salary £48,283.48

45 Hours per week - 6.30 - 17:00pm Monday to Friday

Rochford Norse is a new long-term partnership with Rochford District Council. The joint venture partnership will provide vehicle workshop services across the local area. Our main aim is to provide quality, efficient, and reliable services tailored to suit our client’s needs.

Within our new partnership we have a fantastic workshop team and we are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to work at our local depot on Riverside Industrial Estate. 

 

The role

As the vehicle Technician, you will be primarily responsible for providing cost-effective services to the Department through primarily ensuring that company vehicles, plant and specialist vehicles/ equipment, ensuring they are serviced, maintained and repaired in accordance with fleet procedure along with European and British standards to meet any appropriate legislation requirements (e.g. O license, DVSA, Quality Assurance).

You will also prepare vehicles for annual tests, road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness and attend breakdowns on a rota system. This is an exciting role for an experienced fitter looking to develop and share their expertise with a knowledgeable team.

Our successful candidate;

  • City & Guilds full technical certificate in motor vehicles studies or equivalent.
  • Category C Driving Licence.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards required for light commercial vehicles and plant operation
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and its impact in vehicle repair operations.
  • Experience in the inspection, repair and maintenance of all types of large and small commercial vehicles.
