£28,500 - £30,500 per year based on experience

39 Hours per week

Norfolk

 

Norse Highways are looking to recruit a new Roadworker to their experienced team, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has worked within the Highways industry before.

 

The successful candidate will be working in an everchanging role and will assist with resolving emergency situations. As a Roadworker you will also be responsible for maintaining and constructing roads, footpaths, sewers, drainage & signs. This position is vital for the upkeep and development of public infrastructure.

 

This is a Norfolk based role and we have depots in Kings Lynn, Aylsham, Caister and Ketteringham.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

*         Assisting Skilled Roadworkers in setting out and laying kerbing, drainage, concrete work, flag and black paving, bricklaying, drains, installing gullies, manholes and catchment pits.

 

*         Placing, spreading, levelling and compaction of stone, coated materials, concrete, etc to accurate levels.

 

*         Driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes and responsibility for their safe operation and daily maintenance.

 

*         Participate in winter service and emergency standby and call out duties when required 

 

Job Requirements:

 

*         Possess an NVQ Level 2 in Highway Maintenance, or time served.  

 

*         Relevant CSCS card (or prepared to achieve if required) 

 

*         Appropriate certification to operate major Plant or machinery 

 

*         Full Driving Licence to meet the travel requirements of the role
