Senior Learning & Development Specialist 

Monday to Friday 37 hours per week 

£36,045.66 - £39,250.48

Norse Groups Learning and Development team are currently recruiting for a Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

As  Senior Learning & Development Specialist you will work alongside the Talent Learning and Development Manager to support colleagues with advice and guidance on training needs to ensure delivery of high-quality development and training to staff. Lead relevant business projects through the identification and design (where appropriate) of learning solutions and delivery. You willdevelop and deliver a range of soft skills and management development solutions to address training needs for the Norse Group, including the accurate demonstration of effective learning through evaluation of development solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Talent, Learning & Development Manager to determine training needs for the business, resulting plans to which aim to ensure compliance with any statutory or regulatory training requirements as well as increased competency of employees to drive higher levels of performance and service delivery.

  • Support TLDM to deliver the strategic plans for the business and lead on the talent development plans and processes to support early careers within Norse Group, including apprenticeship recruitment, graduate schemes and T-Level placements. 

  • Support succession planning and talent management processes, implementing development solutions for future successors to senior/business critical roles. 

  • Lead and co-ordinate course development and design for the Talent, Learning & Development portfolio, including but not limited to bespoke content requests, leadership and management and, personal development topics. Ensuring that solutions include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, training, 1-2-1 sessions and eLearning working with the wider L&D team, and specialists within.

  • Lead and co-ordinate activity to ensure learning solutions within the Talent, Learning & Development portfolio are regularly reviewed, and updated through effective analysis and evaluation, making identified improvements.

  • Support TLDM on the evaluation of internal talent and development programmes, demonstrating impact, return on expectation and identifying/implementation areas for improvement.

 

Our Successful Candidate:

  • CIPD qualified, and willing to work towards a Chartered Membership or equivalent in Learning & Development
  • Significant experience in developing and delivering high quality learning and development solutions and programmes
  • Previous experience working within a similar role in a Learning & Development environment
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders across the business to coach, advise and guide where appropriate
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Full UK Driving licence
