Occupational Therapist

Part of The Norse Group, N-Able specialise in providing mobility equipment and assistive technology to customers and clients across the County. Our aim to keep customers safe, happy and healthy in your own home for as long as possible.

Due to recent expansion, we currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Buxton, working as part of our new joint venture partnership with High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

The Role

As an Occupational therapist, you will place a crucial part in improving our clients lives through ensuring greater independence and overcoming challenges within day-to-day activities. You will be involved in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of person-centred care planning and person-centred formulations, providing a first line response to referrals and where necessary, support health and social care needs relating to DFG assessment.

Additionally, within this role you will be required to:

  • Use specialist occupational therapy assessments where appropriate for individual therapy, including functional, daily living which will be carried in client’s homes
  • Take a clinical role in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client’s needs
  • Contribute to the provision of a high standard of service delivery and the development of the occupational therapy service, within the multi-disciplinary team context.
  • Contribute as a clinician to the planning, development and evaluation of the DFG service

Our Successful Candidate

We are looking for you to display previous experience with a similar role either in the community or a hospital based setting. You are also expected to evidence:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy Professional and Registration with Health Care Professionals Council
  • Good understanding of potential major adaptations at resident’s properties, to ensure daily activities and residents needs are being met
  • Good negotiating, time management and delegation skills, including ability to manage own workload and that of others
  • Full UK driving licence to meet travel requirements
