LGV Driver - Rochford 

**07:00-15:30 **40 Hours per week

Rochford Norse presents our newest long-term partnership with Rochford District Council. One of our key services is waste management, and we currently have a vacant position for a LGV Driver in Rochford.

This position is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week.

The role 

Undertake carriage and driver duties and transport materials and documents to various locations.

At this level, drives a range of vehicles including articulated HGV’s, requires a good knowledge of all regulations and practices relating to HGV, company sites including location of key suppliers.

 Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Undertake carriage and driver duties to various locations in a variety of vehicles 
  • Ensure that the allocated workload is completed to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Undertake loading and unloading duties related to goods being delivered and/or removed.
  • Carry out miscellaneous duties associated with courier activities including handling confidential waste, general waste, supplier, collections and deliveries.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks, fuelling and cleaning duties to specific standards and report immediately any vehicle defects or accidents to line manager.
  • Complete all driving records for each journey, as required, and any other relevant paperwork as may be necessary or requested, including updating information systems, control sheets and any other management information as required.
  • Work the hours necessary to meet the needs of service delivery, including working flexibility in event of sickness and holidays in the team and to meet other peaks in workload.

Our ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of Driving LGV vehicles, excellent communication skills and an awareness of the Health and Safety at work requirements.
