As such we have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our highly experienced, multi-disciplined Civil Engineering team in Norwich to  support the delivery of technical service to new and existing clients, primarily within the Public Sector.

This role will be based at Unity Place, our new and modern head office situated on Fifers Lane. The Graduate Civil Engineer will be responsible for supporting our multi-disciplinary consultancy withthe sound delivery of local projects including Drainage and Highways design service to new and existing clients across new and existing schools within Norfolk.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver civil engineering projects in full in accordance with client briefs, to professional & technical standards, and within determined time frames.
  • Undertake drainage designs in accordance with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), and additionally the design of Foul sewerage network connections.
  • Undertake highway design including parking and hard standing layouts/specifications, and vehicle tracking.
  • Undertake 3D modelling of sites to establish optimum design levels, balanced earthworks etc.
  • Work closely with specialist agencies and stakeholders in connection with duties. This may involve commissioning/liaison with third parties.
  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post, supporting senior engineers and developing own schemes.

Our successful applicant:

  • Batchelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering, or, working towards but can demonstrate significant relevant experience.
  • Holds a relevant professional membership (ICE, CIHT, IHE) Excellent communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Drainage software
  • You will be required to travel to other sites and offices and therefore a Full UK drivers licence.
