South West Norse – FM Contracts Manager

£36,275.20 Pro Rata (£17.44 per hour) 

South West Norse represents the highly successful joint venture partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, providing a range of facilities management and contract services across the South West. We have a fantastic career opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join our teams across East Devon on a part-time basis, working 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday).

For this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of contractual, financial, and operational performance of the Cleaning Services across various Clients and commercial contracts, ensuring the teams meet quality performance and operational targets set by the Area Manager. You will ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency and that the most suitable working environment is attained for its employees and activities. Alongside using your leadership capabilities, you will also establish and maintain first class individual working relationships with our client base and colleagues. You will further be responsible for:

  • Effectively managing staff to ensure that the Cleaning services are delivered to expectation of clients at all sites.
  • Responsible for ensuring statutory compliance is achieved throughout the areas of control.
  • Ensure training needs of all personnel under the direction of the post holder are planned and delivered in response to service and legislative demands.
  • Developing and sustaining a strong and effective working relationship with the client through proactive expectation management and effective communication

Our Successful Candidate

We are looking for a talented individual that possesses extensive experience and knowledge of FM Soft Services as well as an ambition to develop within a national organisation. We are further looking for you to demonstrate:

  • Well versed in Contract Management and best practice
  • Extensive experience of managing a large cleaning team
  • Financial and budgetary experience.
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety legislation
  • Leadership qualities – able to motivate and lead others to reach both local and organisational goals
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and associated legislation
  • Hold a full UK Drivers Licence to meet travel requirements of the role
