Cleaner and Caretaker required for Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Teyrnon

20 Hours per week Caretaking (all year round) 

7am-9:45am/5:30pm-6:45pm

15 hours per week Cleaning (term-time only)

6am-7am / 3:30pm-5:30pm

£12.65/hour

 

Newport Norse represents the highly successful joint venture between Norse Group and Newport City Council, providing contract cleaning services across the local area.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Cleaner and Caretaker for Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Teyrnon School in Newport, Wales to join working 20 hours a week as a caretaker (all year) and 15 hours a week as a cleaner (Term-time only). 

It will be your responsibility to ensure the site is kept clean secure and maintained all year round; also undertaking cleaning duties during term time.

 

Duties include

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Report any defects or issues to the Area Supervisor
  • Ensure all health and safety is followed
  • Provide excellent customer service

We will provide full training if you have not worked within the industry before, but ideally we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in a caretaking , cleaning, janitorial position
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations that are relevant to the post, including using relevant machinery and products
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing your own workload
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with members of the public and the client
