Barnsley Norse is working in partnership with Barnsley Borough Council to deliver deliver a comprehensive range of first-class cleaning services across the local areas.

We are looking to recruit a Area Cleaning Supervisor on a part time basis, you'll be required to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

In this role you will carry out a range of duties which include;

 

Duties 

  • Carry out routine and non-routine cleaning duties as and when required in accordance with the cleaning specification and to the desired quality

  • Organisation and monitoring of staff under their supervision to ensure achievement of relevant cleaning standards through Quality Monitoring audits

  • Arrange staff cover for absence through sickness and holidays etc.

  • Responsible to the Area Operations Manager for the discipline of employees under their supervision

  • To complete all relevant documentation relating to HR, payroll and building service information, such as timesheets, variations and additional work sheets

  • Assist in the interview and selection of cleaning staff and arrange on-site induction

  • Maintain effective communications with staff and customers, ensuring good customer care procedures

  • Ensure good staff morale

  • Responsible for the ordering of cleaning materials/equipment necessary to deliver the cleaning service

  • Identify staff training requirement
