Purchasing Assistant – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

£24,887.91 per annum

Norse Group is a multi-disciplined service provider to a growing number of public and private sector clients, operating through a number of different partnerships and delivering expertise across commercial, care and property consulting.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join our Procurement Team on a 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. You will be required to work 37 hours per week from our Head Office in Norwich.

As Purchasing Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the team assisting with procurement processes, systems and resources that help the business continue to grow and meet our succession plans.

You will also be responsible for: 

  • Assisting with the management of the supply base, maintaining, and developing the Supplier Management Systems
  • Managing the correspondence and documents the team processes
  • Arranging key meetings and appointments, and producing schedules and recording minutes for them
  • Understanding and inputting data to create and maintain presentations and databases

Your Experience 

Our successful candidate will have previous administration experience working within a busy office environment alongside:

  • Grade C or above (New System 5 or above) GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Excellent IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • A clear communication style with an outstanding ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
